Included on this site are other writings - short stories and novellas. I hope to continue to be able to write these and make them available here for free. I do of course have bills to pay and mouths to feed, but I will endeavor to make interesting material available.

Elliot Finch is written from my own experience of being visited by darkness - as Elliot describes it. If this piece resonates with any readers, especially if you find yourself in the darkness, please don’t lose hope. Light does exist and perhaps try to seek professional help. Elliot misunderstood his circumstances, it’s a trick of the darkness.

SORROW was a very early attempt at writing my first novel. I had read somewhere that a man writing from a woman’s perspective was the hardest thing for him to do. So I chose to start there! I very quickly found the experience extremely difficult. I am revisiting this initial attempt as time permits - it will no doubt remain raw and an example of my earliest attempts to write a novel. The character Emily is outwardly confident but inwardly struggling - I suspect many could relate. If you are going to follow this one - it’s a tearjerker, better have those tissues close by.

I had intended to write the ‘Emotional series’ where each story was built around a particular emotion - Sorrow, Desire, Love, Loyalty, and Envy. Desire was meant to be up next - a comedy following two friends embarking on a road trip to meet the woman (a weather reporter) of one of the friend’s dreams.
